Artist in Residence
NHCC hosts Artists in Residence in an effort to support both emerging and established local artists and represent the diverse voices of the Greenbush Neighborhood and the surrounding Madison area.
Through this, we hope to help lower barriers to accessing gallery spaces/sharing your work. We encourage all artists, including those from backgrounds that have been historically denied access to creative careers, to apply!
Guidelines:
Must be a local artist who is willing to help in the planning and implementation of a family-friendly exhibition to be displayed in the center & provide at least 1 teaching workshop for the community during the residency. Stipend included!
TEACH @NHCC
Open call for artists to lead free workshops or collaborative community art projects for the neighborhood. Let’s work together to increase access to arts & craft-making skills.
Guidelines:
Teaching artists do not need prior teaching experience. We will work with you to gather any necessary materials, and all forms of art are welcome. Stipend included!
COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY ART
At Neighborhood House, we’re teaming up with local artists, groups, and organizations to spearhead captivating art projects that welcome participation from everyone. Once completed, these projects will be displayed in the center, as well as, in the new building after redevelopment.
Our aim with these projects is simple yet profound: to unite neighbors, families, and friends in a day filled with the delight of crafting community and art together!
