Bus Passes/Gas Cards
Quarterly (4 cycles/year)
This program provides bus passes or gas cards to individuals in need of transportation assistance for work, school, medical visits, food access, and childcare.
Options:
1 Fuel Gift Card ($50 amount)
OR
1 Bus Pass (valid for 31 days)
Guidelines:
Funding for this program is limited and individuals may only apply once per cycle, and receive assistance once per year.
Not everyone who applies will be receive a card or pass.
The application is first available in-person during our Resource Fairs on the dates listed below from 12-4pm.
If we have not reached capacity after in-person applications, the application will be posted online at 12 noon the next day.
Priority Notes:
Priority is given to those who apply in person at our Resource Fairs, live in the Madison area, and haven’t received assistance in the past.
Notification Timeline:
You will be notified if you have been selected within 1 month of applying.
Distribution Info:
Gas cards and bus passes can be picked up at Neighborhood House when they are available or will be mailed to the address provided in the application once approved.
2024:
Cycle 1: February 14, distribution in March
Cycle 2: May 15, distribution in June
Cycle 3: August 14, distribution in September
Cycle 4: November 13, distribution in December
