Neighborhood House Community Center could not do what we do without the support of our volunteers who share their time and talents to serve the community. Volunteering at Neighborhood House is a rewarding experience and a great way to get to know the community and those who share it with you.

Whether you’re looking for a weekly, monthly, or seasonal commitment, Neighborhood House has something for you. Check out the opportunities for you to get involved.

Collegiate Mentoring Program

Local youth ages 7-18 are paired with a college student. The pair will meet twice a week for an hour to work on the youth’s homework and build a positive relationship. Pairs bake, draw, craft, play, take field trips throughout the community together and much more. If you are interested in this program, fill out an application and email it to programs@neighborhoodhousemadison.org or bring it into Neighborhood House.

Summer Camp

During the summer, Neighborhood House runs an eight-week summer camp from 9am-4pm. We are looking for volunteers to engage with campers ages 7-12 under the leadership of two camp counselors and Neighborhood House staff. Volunteers would hangout with the campers taking field trips around Madison, playing games, getting crafty, and making a difference in the life of a child. This is an extremely fun volunteer opportunity!

One-Time Events

At Neighborhood House, we host events to bring the community together. This includes book sales, bake sales, paint nights, themed parties and more. We are always looking for extra hands to help these events go smoothly. Contact us to see how you can help at our next event!
