Neighborhood House Community Center could not do what we do without the support of our volunteers who share their time and talents to serve the community. Volunteering at Neighborhood House is a rewarding experience and a great way to get to know the community and those who share it with you.

Neighborhood House could always use an extra hand! Groups and individuals can help with maintenance or facility projects around the center or participate in a one-time event like Friday Fish Fry or Movie Night. Contact us at info@neighborhoodhousemadison.org to see how you can donate your time. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Adult Enrichment
We are always looking for interested individuals to lead programs for adults in an area of their specialty. Some past examples include: writing workshops, cooking, meditation, Zumba, general exercise and more!
Afterschool Programs
Volunteer with Madison grade-school and middle-school aged students to help with homework, snack time, play games, enrichment activities, and more during our afterschool programming (Mondays 1:30 – 6 pm, Tuesday – Friday 3 -6 pm).

Community Food Programs
Interested in helping to alleviate food insecurity in Madison? Help at Neighborhood House’s Food Pantry with stocking and organizing shelves, helping with the monthly community meals, assisting users as they come in, delivering food to those in need, creating donation drives, and more!

Youth Mentoring Program
Local youth ages 7-18 are paired with a college-aged student or recent graduates that will meet twice a week for an hour to work on the youth’s homework and build a positive relationship. Pairs bake, draw, craft, play, take field trips throughout the community together, and much more. Must have availability on Mondays and one other weekday.

Youth Summer Camp Volunteer
Volunteers are responsible for helping keep campers engaged and safe while taking instruction from camp staff. Priority is given to volunteers that can commit to two shifts per week for 2+ hours and individuals with experience working with youth.
Volunteers help lead activities, serve lunch and snack, facilitate free time and games, support field trips, and implement behavior management and more! Summer camp volunteers get to work with great kids and have lots of FUN!
Camp runs for 8 weeks from June 17 – August 9 (NO CAMP June 19, July 4 & 5).
